Vidya Kanti Seva Samiti was established in the year 2009 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, with the objective of women empowerment. The core mission of the organization has been the holistic development of girls through education, health, and skill development.

In the initial phase, surveys were conducted in economically disadvantaged Dalit localities of Agra, where a lack of education, hygiene, and proper healthcare among girls was clearly observed. After detailed discussions with respected members of society, the Activity Hall of Shri Ratan Muni Jain College, Loha Mandi, Agra—an institution with a strong reputation in the field of education—was selected to implement the welfare initiatives of the Samiti. The college management committee actively supported this noble cause and provided a large hall within the college premises to the Samiti, where the following programs were initiated:

1. Skill Development for Girls:
   Regular classes were conducted in various short-term skill development courses such as Applied Beautician, Mehandi Work, Flower Pot Making, Cooking, English Speaking, and other vocational programs.

2. Promotion of Girls’ Education:
   Shri Ratan Muni College, which was earlier exclusively a boys’ institution, began admitting girl students after obtaining permission from the Education Department. As a result, by the year 2025, more than 1,200 girls have received education in subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Commerce, and English.

3. Health Services:
   Regular health camps were organized for girls, along with the distribution of essential medicines to ensure their physical well-being.

4. Support for Extremely Poor Girls:
   Arrangements were made for school fees, uniforms, books, and other educational necessities for girls from extremely underprivileged backgrounds.

5. Co-curricular and Personality Development Activities:
   The Samiti organized yoga camps, karate training programs, educational tours, rangoli competitions, “Bride Makeover” competitions, and exhibitions of modern fashionable garments designed and created by the girls themselves.
